Getting to Mae Sot

Thai International have daily flights from Bangkok to Tak. The bus from Tak takes about 1½ hours to reach Mae Sot along a very picturesque route.

Chiang Mai to Sukhothai (6 hours)
Arcade bus station - regular departures - many different buses.

Sukhothai to Mae Sot - (1 hr ACbus to Tak + minibus 1.5 hrs to Mae Sot)
A pleasant first ride with fine views on old Sukhothai if sitting on the left. A/C bus - regular departures from bus station. Minibus from Tak to Mae Sot will depart when full. Bumpy ride. Usually drop in bus station/market area.

Bangkok- Kamphaeng Phet (5.5 hours)
Buses Depart 07.00-15.00. May be overnight services available around 22.30.
Depart from Northern Bus terminal

Kamphaeng Phet to Mae Sot (1.5 hours)
Buses leave from Kamphaeng Phet to Tak on the hour from 7a.m. ( 1 hour)
From there minibus to Mae Sot - 1.5 hours. Bumpy ride. Usually drop in bus station/market area
