Fern Resort the small Bungalow Resort is located 7 km. outside the town of Mae Hong Son. It lies on the edge of a huge National Park and is well known among nature lovers throughout Thailand. The scattering of wooden bungalow is built on rice paddies local Shan style. Luxury won't be found in this area but instead you will experience the sights and sound of unspoiled nature and peaceful , friendly people. Management and staff of the resort all of them from nearby villages try to serve the clients with their natural friendliness.

Fern Resort is unique, not only as for its beauty, but also as an example project with a special concept:

Supported by funds of the government it is based on the idea of eco-tourism in order to preserve nature and environment for both tourists and local people.

To treasure and preserve local culture it is our policy that only local people are employed. Their warm and naturally friendly nature makes a stay even more memorable. In addition, local handicrafts made by them and their families are displayed and available for the visitors.

Honoring this concept Fern Resort was awarded The Award of Excellence as Best Resort by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in the year 2000.

Rooms

21 wooden bungalows provide 26 rooms, all decorated in the local Shan style. Each room provides private bathroom with shower and hot water facilities, air-conditioning and a private terrace / bungalow.

To let you be as close to nature as possible there is no TV and telephone in the rooms - instead you can enjoy the sounds of the surrounding jungle, the floating waters and the relaxing atmosphere.
