An architect by profession, the cool, soft-spoken M.L. Tri Devakul has integrated Western concepts with traditional Thai design, to create three distinctive shoreline restaurants at Kata Beach in Phuket:

With his flair for individuality, each restaurant offers a singular dining experience with great wines, original menus and friendly service.

Thai food, with its ravishing flavors, lightness and beauty, has become so popular in recent years that many people would like to learn how to prepare these wonderful dishes themselves. In response to this demand Mom Tri's Boathouse has established regular Thai cooking classes under the direction of Executive Chef Tummanoon Punchun.

Held every Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00 hrs. the classes encourage participation by the students. Each recipe demonstrated in class has been selected for ease of preparation and adaptability to Western kitchens. Chef Tummanoon coaches the class through each step and explains the process of Thai culinary techniques in English. Guests actually obtain 'hands-on' experience making each of the dishes.
