Thaton River View Resort today is 65 km from Chiang Mai by road. River cruise on bamboo rafts and long-tail-boat down to Chiang Rai are also available. Thaton is emerging to become a new junction linking with Doi Mae Salong and Golden Triangle by a new highway. The Comfort Resort Thaton River View composes of long bungalows and single houses scattered around the open space to provide privacy. Each air-conditioned room is equipped with hot and cool showers, comfortable beds, single and double. The house offer individual views and backdrop. For those staying in the bungalow, just looking up from your bed, the mountains and rivers come into full view.

In the early morning there could be nothing better than lounging at the table on the verandah, sipping warm coffee, watching streaks of thin fog fading away, from the hilltop. The cool and soothing breeze is refreshing and reassuring. The sound made by the water against the shore is please as the song of nature. The main building serves as the reception area and the restaurant, and is regarded as the assembling point for people in the area who head for the place for seafood, supplied daily from the Eastern province of Chonburi. Seminars and parties are welcome. The seminar room, in a separate large house, is well equipped for the purpose.
