Nathon

Nathon is the island's capital, it has two main roads operating a one way system. There are several banks, the main post office, money exchanges and a variety of shops.

For anyone arriving to koh samui by boat as a passenger, Nathon is also the island's main port

There is a large pier with lots of boats ferrying in supplies, a small bus terminal, and a food market. Taxis can be got to any other part of the island.

Souvenirs can be bought cheaper than at the other resorts. Along the road running beside the sea are several small restaurants which serve excellent Thai food. Nathon is well worth visiting to get a feel of true Thai life.
